This project consists of major environmental abatement of asbestos contained in thermal system insulation and the removal of all lead painted material. In addition to the abatement, the work also includes but is not limited to the installation of a new HVAC system; selective demolition, a new floor plan layout, new plumbing and light fixtures, new paint, new flooring and carpeting, and new radiant heating for areas having high ceilings and will entail work in, but not limited to, the following disciplines: abatement, demolition, grading, excavation/filling/backfilling for structures and utility systems, water distribution system, turf, rough and finish carpentry, thermal and moisture protection, doors and windows, finishes (wallboard, ceramic tile, acoustical ceilings, resilient flooring, carpet, painting, wall covering), toilet partitions, cabinets and countertops, mechanical, and electrical. This project also includes an additive item, Option 1, which is to provide and install a wire mesh partition. This project is located at the 910 Airlift Wing (AFRC), Youngstown Air Reserve Station, 3976 King Graves Rd, Vienna OH 44473-5925 (Trumbull County). The performance period is 210 calendar days. The dollar magnitude is between $500,000 -- $1,000,000. The SIC Code is 1542, and the Size Standard is $17 million average annual receipts over the past three years. Contract award will be made as a whole to one bidder. The solicitation and specifications will be made available to interested parties through electronic data interchange. The solicitation will be issued via Electronic Posting System (EPS) at http://www.eps.gov on or about 19 Apr 00. The drawings, and pages 26 _ 38 of Specification Section 16415, are only available in hard copy. There is no charge for the drawings or pages mentioned above; however contractors must request copies of these documents from the Contracting Officer in writing, at the fax or e-mail address above, citing solicitation number F33630-00-B-0001 and stating they are a prime contractor interested in bidding. Verbal requests will not be honored. As hard copies of the drawings are limited, requests from contractors will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
