E-MAIL: Billie Cherico, Billie.Cherico@Homestead.af.mil. Scope of Work is to repair the central keep of the runway at Homestead Air Reserve Station, Miami-Dade County, Homestead, Florida. The base is located approximately thirty miles south of Miami, FL. This project includes repairs to the central keel of the runway and requires a complete runway closure for the accomplishment of the work. All pavement joint sealant shall be replaced while spalls and cracks shall be repaired. Following completion of the pavement repair work, any runway markings that were disturbed or damaged shall be painted onto the repaired pavement surfaces. The paint shall be applied as noted in the drawings and specifications to include reflective glass beads in the applied paint. Work must be coordinated with the Airfield Manager to minimize impact to flying operations. This acquisition is for a Firm-Fixed-Price contract. The SIC is 1611. Magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $250K and $500K. Project performance period is 90 calendar days. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 15 Jun 00. Dates are for estimating purposes only, and may be revised as indicated in the Request for Proposal (RFP).
