E-MAIL: David Mork, david.mork@bep.treas.gov. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is seeking prospective Offerors capable of supplying a Roller Storage and Retrieval Carousal System. The carousal system shall be capable of storing a minimum of thirty-four (34) elastomer-coated rollers. The system shall be capable of performing the following functions without manually lifting of more than forty (40) pounds of weight: A) Lifting a roller from 16_ to 33_ high; BEP provided transportation carts and storing rollers on a selected position. B) Retrieving a roller from a selected position and placing it on BEP provided transportation cart as described above. The floor space available for the operation of the carousal system is thirteen feet (13) X thirteen feet (13) X seven feet (7) and eight feet (8) in the remaining section. The parameters of the rollers that will be stored in the carousal are as follows: Overall length: 1246 mm, Maximum diameter of elastomer coating: 279 mm diameter, weight of roller: 400 pounds, length of elastomer coating: 800mm, distance between two pick up and support coating: 800 mm to 894mm, length of pickup and support surfaces: 47mm, Diameter of pick up and support surfaces: 75mm diameter on one side and 120mm diameter on other side.
