of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration has a
requirement for developing proposed and final standards for the
protection of employee health. This involves regulation of employee
exposure to toxic chemicals or harmful physical and biological agents.
Provisions of the standard may specify medical examinations, use of
personal protective equipment, employee training, exposure assessment
and other measures to protect employees' health. Scope of work involves
preparing health hazard evaluations and risk assessments for specific
toxic chemicals or hazardous physical or biological agents as well as
analyzing other critical issues in support of health standards
development, performing literature searches, summarizing key exposure
and toxicity information for chemical screening, constructing databases
and providing information management and computer programming support,
including providing assistance in identifying and using current
technology for standards promulgation, assisting in promulgating
regulations, including organizing and analyzing data contained in
public rulemaking records on specific toxic chemicals, hazardous
physical or biological agents, providing expert testimony, organizing
peer reviews, stakeholder meetings and workshops to solicit input from
outside parties and providing logistical support for Standard Advisory
Committees or skilled mediation for negotiated rulemaking, assisting in
review of current and existing regulations for possible revisions,
assisting in developing and publishing regulatory schedules, assisting
in developing guidelines, research needs, strategies, outreach and
other materials that advance the quality of health standards and
support critical non-regulatory requests. The period of performance is
anticipated to be one year with four option years. An indefinite
quantity/labor hour type contract is anticipated. All requests for a
