Syed, Contracting Officer, (301) 496-6546 The purpose of this modification is to revise the announcement entitled "Improving Access to Health and Disaster Information in Honduras and Nicaragua" which appeared in the printed edition of the CBD on February 15, 2000. It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to negotiate on a sole source basis with the non-profit organization FundaCRID (CRID), Regional Disaster Information Center, P.O. Box 3745-1000, San Jose, Costa Rica, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 for the above-referenced work. The NLM will be collaborating with FundaCRID to strengthen the access to technical and scientific information on health and disasters in Honduras and Nicaragua, two of the countries hardest hit by Hurricane Mitch in 1998.
