This notice constitutes a sources sought notice for depot maintenance capability for the Joint Tactical Information Distribution System (JTIDS) Class 2M Radio Set, AN/GSQ-240A(C), NSN: 5820-01-421-2609. The Department of the Army intends to solicit BAE Systems, Wayne, NJ, on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. The Government does not possess the technical data to adequately describe the form, fit, function or performance of the JTIDS and its associated subassemblies. JTIDS supports Air and Missile Defense engagement operations by providing a means of communications for the high-speed distribution of air picture data between joint and allied aircraft, ground based platforms, and Air and Missile Defense C3I elements. The contractor will be responsible for turning the nonfunctional subassemblies received from the field into ones which meet the most current operational form, fit, and function as called out by applicable technical data. The Government will not purchase any test equipment to facilitate the effort. Depot Maintenance Work Requirements (DMWRs) do not exist for this equipment. Contract will be a time and materials and firm fixed price type. Prospective offerors will also be responsible for repair of pre-production radio set assets.
