The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has a requirement for Real Estate Property Sales Closing Services for single family properties (1-4 units) owned by HUD. The geographic areas covered by this solicitation are Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The primary objectives of the proposed contract are to ensure that: 1. The sale of all properties assigned to the contract close within the time stipulated by the sales contract. 2. Prompt and accurate payment of all closing charges are made. 3. The net proceeds of each sale are deposited to a non-interest bearing escrow account and request is initiated for the wire transfer of the proceeds via wire to HUD's account with the U.S. Treasury on the day of closing or no later than the next banking day. 4. The complete closing package is submitted to the M&M within 3 (three) business days of closing. HUD anticipates awarding one or two contracts. These contracts will be for one base year with four option years. All responsible sources may submit a proposal. HUD anticipates mailing the solicitaton on or about April 18, 2000.
