This is a presolicitation notice. The Federal Emergency Management Agency is seeking prospective offers for the following project: Construction of Warehouse-Type Modular Storage Building at the Mt. Weather Emergency Assistance Center, located at 19844 Blue Ridge Mountain Road, Bluemont, Virginia 20135. Contractor shall provide all the necessary materials, equipment and personnel required for the construction of the modular storage building. The construction will consist of the following: Contractor shall provide and erect one warehouse-type modular storage building, to include site preparation, concrete slab, interior electrical and fire detection system, exterior power and communications lines, and one in-plant communications equipment room. Contractor must possess a Virginia Class A License. Period of performance shall be 200 calendar days. This will be a Firm-Fixed Price Contract. Offerors will be required to submit a technical and cost proposal as stated in the solicitation. Estimated construction is between $100,000 and $250,000 dollars. Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of technical and cost using source selection procedures that will result in an award of a firm- fixed price contract as specified in the solicitation. The Government reserves the right to evaluate proposals and award without discussions. EMV-2000-RP-0026 will be issued O/A 04/20/2000 with a due date of 30 calendar days thereafter for proposals. The dates as stated are estimated and will be finalized in the RFP. Pre-proposals conference and site visit will be scheduled with specific date/time to be provided in RFP.
