This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial itmes prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. RFQ00C-16 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-32. The Library of Congress has a requirement to purchase the following equipment: 1. 2 each, Control Micro System 10 watt Class 1 CO2 Laser Marking System connected to an IBM PC compatible computer workstation and control panel. Using existing operating and diagnostic software, the device engraves alphanumeric and/or graphic images on optical media (CDs, CD-ROMs, DVDs) and standard audio and video (VHS) cassettes. System warranty of one year is required. Functional specifications are available upon request. All items shall be delivered within forty-five (45) days After Receipt of Order (ARO).
