combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a
written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined
synopsis/solicitation Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Sun Spectrum
Silver Support (RFQ #: F19628-00-Q-0012). The solicitation document and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal
Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-16. This solicitation is a 100 percent
set-aside for small business (Size Standard: $18.0M). The Standard
Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 7378. The Government
anticipates a Firm Fixed Price contract to be awarded as a result of
this solicitation. All IT items or non-IT items that are required to
perform date/time processing involving dates subsequent to December 31,
1999, shall be Year 2000 compliant. The Command and Control Information
Processing System Program Office intends to procure the following
items. Line Item Number 0001: Sun Spectrum Silver Overseas Maintenance
for one (1) Ultra II Server located in Saudi Arabia (Prince Sultan Air
Base). Line Item Number 0002: Sun Spectrum Silver Overseas Maintenance
for seven (7) Ultra IIs located in Germany (Ramstein Air Force Base).
The period of performance for Line Items 0001 and 0002 is twelve (12)
months from contract award. Offerors shall provide the in-country
maintenance support points of contact and telephone numbers with their
quotation. All maintenance support documentation for Line Items 0001
and 0002 shall be sent to ESC/GAM, Attn: Lt. Robert Enrico, 75
Vandenberg Drive, Hanscom AFB, MA 01731. To be eligible to receive an
award resulting from this solicitation, offerors must be registered in
the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database; NO EXCEPTIONS
are allowed. To register, you may apply through the Internet at
http://ccr.edi.disa.mil. You must include your Dunn& Bradstreet
(DUNS) number in order to apply. The Government will award a contract
resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose
offer, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the
Government, price and other factors considered. The provisions at FAR
52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, and 52.212-2,
Evaluation-Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. Offerors shall
include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror
Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with their offer.
Other clauses that are required include: FAR clause 52.212-4, Contract
Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms
and Conditions required to Implement Statues or Executive
Orders-Commercial Items; FAR clauses 52.233-1, -2, & -3 Agency
Protest, Disputes and Appeals Provisions; and FAR clause 52.232-33
Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration.
The following sub-clauses apply to his acquisition: FAR clauses
52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-3, and 52.222-21,
DFARS, 252.212-7000 and 252.212-7001, 252.225-7001, 252.225-7007,
252.225-7036, and 252.204-7004. All responsible sources may submit a
quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Responses to this
notice shall be provided in writing not later than 30 April 2000.
