Roberts, Contracting Officer, (501) 257-1050 The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS), Little Rock, Arkansas, is seeking to establish a primary care presence or capability in the Hot Springs area (Garland County). Primary care is generally defined as the delivery and management of primary and preventative medical care and the continuity of that care for all VA enrolled patients. This service may also include surgical follow-up care. Secondary and tertiary level care for enrolled patients would be provided by referral to the Little Rock CAVHS. In addition to the Hot Springs area (Garland County), veterans residing in Clark, Garland, Montgomery, Perry and Hot Spring counties in Arkansas could be served by this Primary Care presence. The Little Rock CAVHS proposes to offer these Primary Care services through a negotiated capitated rate (per member, per month) contract. Population of enrollees is estimated to be 3200 first year and maximum of 6000. The contractor would provide clinical providers, medical facilities for Primary Care, medical equipment and supplies and all administrative functions to fulfill all levels and ranges of care expected for an initial one year period and four (4) subsequent one year renewals. Mental Health services are being considered as an alternate bid item.
