Herting The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) seeks to increase the maximum hours under a current contract that includes systems engineering services to support the PBGC automated information systems. The services required include, but are not limited to: Software development and maintenance support for the Insurance Operations Department (IOD) systems: Automated Letter Generation (ALG), Customer Communication Network (CCN), Actuarial Calculation Tools (ACT), Archive, Participant Records Information Management System (PRISM), DATAHUB, Death Match, Locator, Pension Search, and others; Program support for Application Integration and Implementation, IOD Configuration Management, and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Methodology using CS/10000; Program and Development Support for Participant and Employer Appears Department's (PEAD) Appeals Case Control System (ACCS), Communications and Public Affairs Department's (CPAD) Electronic Freedom of Information Act (EFOIA) system and Financial Operations Department's (FOD) Payroll Interface System. This is a continuation of work already undertaken by the existing provider. In view of the provider's familiarity with the complexities of PBGC, extensive systems experience with IOD, PEAD, and CPAD business systems; program experience in SDLC, ACCS, EFOIA and Configuration Management; systems development and integration within a complex network infrastructure; and the time already spent in learning the work and PBGC policies and procedures, it is PBGC's belief that it would be in our best interest for the current provider to complete the tasks within the existing time frames under the contract.
