The current completion date is June 11, 2000. The proposed completion date is September 30, 2000. This level of effort contract provides support for NCI's tobacco research activities and involves 1) preparation of scientific documents and publications writing, editorial and graphic services; 2) planning, study design, data management and analysis support; 3) support for workshops and conferences; and 4) liaison assistance. A contract extension is needed for continued support with activities that are currently in progress while decisions concerning recompetition of this project are being considered. Inherent duplication of costs to the Government and unacceptable delays in continued implementation of this project make competition unfeasible for this contract action.
