The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a basic requirement for the acquisition to expand the gas storage at Building 2, North Dock, at the U.S. Department of Commerce in Boulder, Colorado. Contractor shall provide all labor, material and equipment for the addition to an existing storage and loading dock on the North end of Bldg. 2. The new dock contains approximately 2400 sf (222.96 sm) of storage space, elevated approximately 4'-0" above grade and enclosed within a metal fabric partition and covered by a standing seam metal roof. New concrete paving including loading docks on the west and east sides of the dock are part of this project. Slab on grade paving north of the dock up to a line where an adjacent paving project will occur is also within this project's scope. All work under this project, including as-built drawings, shall be produced using dual dimensions (English and metric). The magnitude of this requirement is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Work is to be completed within 180 calendar days. Contract award will be made on the basis of best value (lowest price, technically acceptable) to the Government with qualification and experience, past performance and technical approach factors considered. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business (SIC Code 1629, Size Standard $17 M). See Numbered Note 1.
