E-MAIL: NA, darrel.johnson@usace.army.mil. The work consists of the demolition of two one-story office buildings totaling approximately 12,000 SF and small out buildings and related site utilities. New construction includes a squadron operations facility of approximately 48,500 SF, new parking lot, and related site improvements. The building will be constructed of concrete foundation, masonry walls, structural steel framing, and standing seam metal roof system and will include fire protection. It is anticipated to be a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The Standard Industrial Code is 1542 and the size standard is $17 Million. Project Duration is approximately 550 calendar days. The project will be offered as a design project. Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of experience, management plan, and cost. The Request for Proposal will include a floor plan, site plan, and elevations, which have been approved by the Government. Estimated magnitude of work is between $5 -- 10 Million. Issue date for solicitation will by on or about April 24, 2000. This project has been restricted for competition to 8(a) firms within the SBA Arkansas District Office and those other Districts in the same region bordering Arkansas, which are Louisiana, Texas, and Oklahoma.
