The work of this contract consists of furnishing all labor; tools, equipment, materials and performing all operations in connection with work at the following sites: 2. Base bid item -- Kamiah, ID: drilling one (1) new well eight inch diameter by approximately 300 feet deep, furnishing and installing one (1) submersible pump, connecting new well to existing distribution piping and decommissioning of one (1) existing well. A target yield of 15 gallons per minute is being sought from the new well. 3. Optional bid item(s) -- White Bird, ID: drilling one (1) new well six inch diameter by approximately 400 feet deep, furnishing and installing one (1) submersible pump, and stub-up for future connections. Depending on the bid amount the optional bid item may or may not be awarded, or may be awarded partially or entirely. The locations of the wells will be staked in the field by the National Park Service. 4. The Government reserves the right to make no award whatsoever. If an award is made, the BaseBid Item will be the first Item to be Awarded. The Government also reserves the right to award one or both Optional Bid Items at the Government's discretion, but in no case later than September 30, 2000. 5. The Government's Estimated Bid Range for all work specified in this Request for Quotation is $48,000 to $54,000. 6. One Site Visit to be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2000 at 9:00 o'clock AM PDT. 7.
