The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS), Tucson, AZ requires leasing of a computer bed tracking system, brand name or equal to BedTracking, leased and sold by Tele-Tracking Technologies, 336 Fourth Ave., The Times Building, Pittsburgh, PA 15222-2004. The contract shall be for one year from the Government's date of acceptance with one additional option renewal year. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Request for Proposals (RFP) are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. NetworkWorkstations (1-5): 12 MO The computer bed tracking system shall offer the following minimum salient characteristics: A. Real time tracking of clean/dirty bed status from start to finish using patient bedside telephones and also can be used to notify and provide bed status to appropriate departments, e.g., pharmacy, nursing, and dietary; B. Dispatching of housekeepers using patient bed-side telephones and notification to appropriate supervisors and/or management in instances of non-compliance or late starts; C. Automatic real time reports on productivity and transaction volume, and; D. Ability of the equipment to interface with the medical center's existing telephone system. F.O.B. Point: Destination. Total price shall include all required installation necessary for the system and all appropriate training to designated Government personnel for the proper use of the system. The contractor shall provide any and all applicable operating manuals. The equipment shall remain the property of the contractor and all maintenance, repair and other necessary service and support to the system shall be the responsibility of the contractor.
