The Government intends to procure contractor logistics support (CLS) for the MC-130H Combat Talon II Avionics Subsystem Trainer (AST). The proposed acquisition is for the contractor to provide on-call CLS for the AST. CLS involves total logistics support (all levels of maintenance, supply support and material management) for the AST with the exception of lamp and fuse replacement and trouble-shooting accomplished by Government/Air Force personnel as directed by the CLS contractor over the telephone. The CLS contractor shall provide all maintenance and repair of the AST, all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to maintain the AST trainer system in an operable, Mission Capable (MC) status. The contractor's logistics program will support the trainer system in such a way that the trainers shall be returned to serviceable condition within a maximum of 72 hours after receiving official notice for a service call. This proposed procurement is under a 100 percent small business set aside, the size standard for which is 1,000 employees. Anticipated RFP release date is 8 May 00 and the proposed award date for this effort is approximately 31 Jul 00, with a basic performance period beginning at date of award through 30 Sep 00.
