Moran in cooperation with George Mason University Procurement Technical
Assistance Program will sponsor a Federal procurement conference at the
Fort Myer Officers' Club in Arlington, VA on 12 April 2000 from 8:00AM
to 4:00PM. In addition to Congressman Moran, distinguished speakers
include RADM Jenkins, USN Deputy for Acquisition & Business
Management to the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (RD&A), Nancy
Tarrant, Navy OSADBU, Tracey Pinson, Army OSADBU, Dale McNabb, Air
Force SADBU Office, LTC Steve Wallace, USA DISA OSADBU, Ed O'Hare, CIO
of General Services Administration, Janet Koch, DOD OSDBU Women-Owned
Business Program Manager, Cliff Toulson SBA Asst. Administrator
Veteran's Programs, and others. Emphasis will be placed on the
technology environment, resources and new programs small businesses
need to understand in order to do business with the government. Among
other agencies included in the program are the Small Business
Administration, Department of Defense, Fairfax ECRC, Department of
Interior, General Services Administration, the US Army Military
District Washington, The Naval Air, Sea, and Facilities Systems
Commands, the Air Force, Department of Commerce, Department of
Interior, several other agencies and a number of large prime contractor
companies. Information will be targeted towards small business, but all
businesses will benefit from the discussion of the SBA's Women and
Veteran Owned Business programs, DOD's Electronic Commerce and Small
Business initiatives, GSA's perspectives on use of on-line catalogs in
marketing to government, and the A-76 presentation will help companies
gain insight on how they may participate in this outsourcing endeavor.
Registration fee for this event is $25.00 per person, which includes
