THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING DRAWINGS, WILL BE AVAILABLE ON CD ONLY. The work will be to modify the existing surface collector at Lower Granite Dam. Modifications will consist of the following: (1)Removal and disposal of approximately 1.4 million lbs of existing unpainted structural steel Surface Collector modules. The modules float in the forebay and will require diving to 80 ft depth to unbolt the modules for removal. A total of 11 modules will be removed and disposed of. (2)Fabrication, delivery, and installion of 2 new unpainted steel floating modules. The new modules will be fabricated of structural tube and plate with welded connections. The new modules will weigh approximately 140,000 lbs. The modules will be floated into place and bolted with A325 bolts to the remaining surface collector modules and connected to the dam with adhesive anchors. Installation will require diving to 80 ft depth. (3) Relocation of the existing trash shear boom. The downstream connection point will be moved from its current location on the spillway to a new connection point located on the non-overflow section of the dam between the spillway and the powerhouse. The estimated cost range for this job is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The standard industrial classification code (SIC) is 1629. The small business size standard is average annual receipts for the previous three fiscal years must not exceed $17,000,000.
