Previous announcement of 2/29/00 is modified to extend the closing date
to April 20, 2000. Offers may now be submitted no later than 4:30 P.M.
Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), April 20, 2000. The announcement is also
modified to provide additional information on the requirement's
specifications. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious
Diseases intends to procure twenty-four (24) stainless steel,
three-sided bulk trucks for animal storage and transportation. Twenty
(20) of the trucks should be made of custom stainless steel, be
three-sided and have stainless steel casters and autoclavable/phenolic
wheels. The approximate overall dimensions of each of these trucks
should be twenty-seven inches deep by forty-five inches wide by
seventy-seven inches high (27"D X 45"W X 77"H). The approximate
interior dimensions of these trucks should be twenty-five and one-half
inches deep by forty-two inches wide (25.5"D X 42"W). Each truck
should have a removable support grid mounted on its front upper third.
Four (4) of the trucks should be made of stainless steel, be
three-sided and have stainless steel casters and autoclavable/phenolic
wheels. The approximate overall dimensions of each of these trucks
should be twenty-eight inches deep by sixty inches wide by sixty inches
high (28"D X 60"W X 60"H). Each of these trucks must also have a
removable support grid mounted on its front upper third. The
configuration of each of the two types of trucks should be equal, or
equivalent, to the bulk truck depicted on Page #13 of the 1999
catalogue of Ancare Corporation of Belmore, NY. (Their telephone Number
is 800-645-6379.) Each of the two types of trucks should be constructed
of heavy-duty, 18-Gauge 1.5" and 1" stainless steel tubes. Copies of

(301) 402-2282. Delivery location is the National Institute of Allergy
and Infectious Diseases, Bethesda, Md. and shall be inside delivery.

must include with their offer a completed copy of the provisions of FAR
52.212-3, Offerors Representations and Certifications -- Commercial
Items. The Government intends to make a Best Value Buy to the
responsible offeror whose offer is most advantageous to the government.
Evaluation will include 1) The technical capability of the item offered
to meet the agency's need, 2) Price and 3) Delivey Schedule: The
contractor must be able to deliver the trucks within six (6) to eight
(8) weeks after receipt of order (ARO). Offers must be submitted no
later than 4:30 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), April 20, 2000, to
