The scope of work requires professional services to complete a reconnaissance level archeological survey and report of Joe Williams Field, NAS, Meridian, MS; establish location of previous archeological sites (total of 40); and compile archeological information into an integrated cultural resources management plan. Recommendations will be provided to the State Historic Preservation Officer. This survey will be conducted on the Navy land surrounding the runway and taxiway at Joe Williams Field, an area approxiately 919 acres. This work is not of a routine nature, and selection of the appropriate contractor will use FAR Par 36.6, ARCHITECT-ENGINEER SERVICES. The proposed contract value is less than $100,000.
