Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC)- PrISMS; Mission Prime Contractor to NASA, Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) AL, intends to award a base year w/one (1) option year subcontract to Comdisco Inc. under a competitively awarded CSC Corporate/Comdisco Master Global Agreement to provide Disaster Recovery (DR) "Hot-Site Recovery Support" and DR "testing" for the NASA ADP Consolidation Center (NACC) located at MSFC. During the base and option period beginning 1 May 2000 and ending 30 April 2002, the vendor shall; upon a disaster declaration, provide up to six (6) weeks of DR recovery support for the equipment identified in the attached Word 6.0 document under "NACC Total Disaster Requirements". Also, during each base and option period, the vendor shall provide DR test support for three (3) each forty-eight (48) hour test schedules/year for a total of 144 hours/year under the definition of "NACC Annual Testing Requirement". Interested parties have 15 days from the publication date of this synopsis to submit their qualifications/capabilities (i.e., technical specifications, brochures, and "pricing") in the critical areas mentioned above. Pricing shall include a base and option year value for 144 hours (3 test periods) of DR testing per year, and a "not-to-exceed" (NTE) value for up to six (6) weeks of actual DR "hot site" support priced on a per day basis. Pricing for said daily DR hot site support shall be understood to be "worst case" thus allowing CSC to declare a partial disaster requiring less than the total DR requirements at a lower daily rate (i.e., lower tier level). Please provide any DR declaration fee if applicable in your response. Responses received without the required information and pricing may be considered non-responsive to the synopsis. A determination by CSC not to compete the requirements of this synopsis as a competitive procurement based on the information provided is solely within the discretion of CSC.
