This serves as "Notice of Intent" to issue a purchase order under the simplified acquisition procedures to Lee Technologies Federal Systems Group, Inc., Fairfax VA. This acquisition is for preventive maintenance on the following MGE Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) (Large (3-Phase) equipment: Model number EPS6300/44,66 (2 each), (4) strings of sealed batteries per MGE UPS system, model number PDO84M48A12-00075 (5 each). Also, provide MGE Emergency Service on the above to include the following: All materials and labor to keep the equipment in "good operating condition", four (4) hour on site emergency response, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, all emergency services, access to factory technical support during normal business hours, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., call management, battery maintenance and all travel expenses. Must be familiar with and have detailed knowledge of MGE UPS Systems. The period of this performance for this order will be from date of award through December 31, 2000.This notice is not a Request for Quotes. Alternatives to MGE preventive and emergency service may be considered with written responses and must be accompanied by clear and convincing evidence that comparable maintenance providers are available, and it is more advantageous to the government than to award to Lee Technologies Federal Systems Group. If no affirmative written response(s) is/are received within 15 days after publication of this notice, a sole source order with Lee Technology, Federal Systems Group will be made.
