This is a synopsis of a requirement for commercial services prepared in
accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12, as supplemented with
additional information included in the notice. A written solicitation
will be issued upon request. This is a request for quotation (RFQ)
number DTCG80-00-Q-3FCF82. This solicitation document will incorporate
provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition
Circular 97-15 The standard industrial classification code is 3731 and
the size standard is 1000 employees. The requirement is for the
following: Contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment,
parts, services, and competence to complete the following dockside
repairs on the USCGC RELIANCE (WMEC-615): 1.Clean, inspect, and
preserve diesel fuel tanks. 2. Preserve potable water tanks. 3.
Overhaul and test fuel manifold and valves. 4. Hydrostatically test hot
water storage and hydropneumatic tanks. 5. Inspect talon grid
installation. 6. Hydroblast gray water piping system. 7. Renew deck
covering system. 8. Provide temporary logistics. Place of Performance:
Portsmouth, NH. Performance period: August 30 to September 27, 2000.
Specifications to be provided on request. A non-refundable charge of $
50.00 required in the form of a certified check or money order payable
to the U. S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. The government will
award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible
offeror whose conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous
to the government, price and other factors considered. The following
factors shall be used to evaluate offer: Price, Required Delivery Date.

Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Quotes are due on
