Management Agency (FEMA) is seeking industry interest in providing
services to assist with the integration of community and faith-based
organizations into local community hazard mitigation and disaster
resistance activities. This synopsis is not a Request for Proposals,
but is a sources sought announcement issued only for information and
planning purposes to identify potential sources for the performance of
these services. FEMA seeks to identify interested parties who are
currently on GSA Schedule Contract Number 874 Management, Organization
and Business Improvement Services (MOBIS). A draft statement of work
for this requirement is available for viewing at the FEMA web site
(http://www.fema.gov/ofm/bidinfo.htm). Minimum capabilities must
include (1) Demonstrated project management skills and abilities; (2)
Previous experience in developing, implementing and conducting similar
fieldwork activities; (3) Demonstrated experience preparing education
and training activities and products; (4) A strong understanding of
disaster risk assessment and hazard mitigation techniques and
activities; and, (5) A strong understanding of CBO/FBO organizations
and the dynamics of these organizations in and out of the disaster
environment. Firms possessing these capabilities who are on GSA
Schedule are invited to submit information regarding their interest in
this potential opportunity to the procuring office identified in this
notice within ten (10) days from the date of this notice. Information
furnished should include: (1) Firm's full name, mailing address,
primary point of contact for this action including phone number, fax
number, and email address; (2) GSA Schedule Contract Number, including
award and expiration date of the contract; (3) All personnel
categories utilized under the GSA contract, including the negotiated
GSA schedule rates for those positions through the expiration date of
the GSA contract; (4) Any and all supplemental information which
demonstrates an ability to meet the above capabilities. This synopsis
is not a Request for Proposals, but is a sources sought announcement
for information and planning purposes only. The Government will not pay
for any effort or materials expended in responding to this
