This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as Supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, F14614-00-T-0023, is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 7999, Services non-personal for slide, pool with installation. This is a 100% small-business set-aside. A small business is one with fewer than 500 employees. There are four Contract Line Items (CLINS). The contractor shall provide all materials, supplies and equipment necessary to install a slide for outdoor swimming pool. CLIN 0600 pool slide, tubular 30 inch inside diameter flume with 10 foot 6 inch slide entrance and 52 foot of slide run, Model 301-1625RH-08-18 King Cobra or equal. Must meet consumer Product Safety Commission Standards in the Code of Federal Regulation, 1997 for recreational water slide flumes, quantity 1 each. CLIN 0601 water pump, water 12 horse power, centrifugal, chemical resistant with TEFC motor, motor cover, mounting plates with foot valve, dual 110/220 voltage, model 301-112 or equal, quantity 1 each. CLIN 0602 Installation of slide in accordance with consumer Product Safety Commission Standards in the Code of Federal Regulation, 1997 for water slide flumes. CLIN 0603 Installation, water pump and related piping, quantity 1 each. CLIN 0604 Freight charges, if applicable. Items are to be delivered and installed at the east-end of the outdoor swimming pool, Bldg 403, McConnell AFB KS 67221. The contractor shall provide all personnel, parts, equipment, test equipment, material, tools, transportation, applicable licenses and permits, and supervision to install water slide in accordance with manufacturer's directions. If a digging permit is required by the contractor, the Outdoor Recreation Director must obtain this permit not earlier than 10 days prior to installation of slide. Contractor will install all new equipment and make all necessary electrical and water connections for a fully functional water slide. The contractor shall test slide and connections and make any adjustments needed. The contractor shall train the Outdoor Recreation Director and staff on proper use and maintenance of new equipment and warranty information. The contractor shall provide to the Contracting Office and the Outdoor Recreation Director the name(s) and phone number(s) of personnel who will be called for maintenance of equipment under warranty. Contractor personnel shall present a neat appearance and be easily recognized. This may be accomplished by wearing distinctive clothing bearing the name of the company or by wearing appropriate badges that display the company name and employee name. The contractor shall ensure all work meets quality standards and all Consumer Product Safety Commission Standards in the Code of Federal Regulations, 1997, for recreational water slide flumes. The contractor shall schedule the work between the hours of 7:30 a.m.- 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The contractor is not required to schedule work on weekends or Federal Holidays. The Government shall provide, without cost to the contractor, the utilities necessary to accomplish the tasks specified in this Statement of Work, Fire Protection, and 911 service. The contractor shall instruct his employees in utilities conservation practices and shall be responsible for operating under conditions which preclude the waste of Government utilities. Except for the utilities and services specifically stated to be Government Furnished, the contractor shall furnish and install everything required to perform the work described. Installation will be completed and be fully operational by 15 May 2000. Contractor will ensure work area is left clean and all debris resulting from this work shall be removed by the contractor. Ensure all contractor-owned equipment and tools in the work area are secured at the end of each workday. In the event the contractor encounters problems which may prevent them from completing the scheduled work, the Contracting Officer or designated representative shall be contacted immediately. The contractor shall notify the Contract Administrator prior to completion of work to schedule a final inspection. The government's preferred Freight On Board (FOB) point is Destination.
