necessary to perform homepier dockside repairs including but not
limited to the following base and option items: (1) Clean and Inspect
Diesel Fuel and Oil Tank(s), (2) Clean, Inspect, and Disinfect Potable
Water Tank(s) -- Tug, (3) Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water
Collection and Holding Tank(s), (4) Clean Exhaust Stacks and Spark
Arrestors, (5) Clean In-Place Ship's Service Generators, (6) Test and
Adjust Relief Valves, (7) Overhaul and Test Fuel Manifold and Valves,
(8) Overhaul Lube Oil Valves, (9) Inspect and Test Steering System
Relief Valves, (10) Overhaul Anchor Windlass Assembly, (11) Overhaul
Warping Capstan Assembly, (12) Perform Non-Destructive Testing of Pad
Eyes, and (13) Clean Bilges in Various Compartments. The vessel is a
140 foot long Icebreaking Tug, 37 foot 7 and 1/4 inches in width, and
a 125 foot long Barge, 52 foot in width. Vessel's homepier is located
on the Coast Guard Base in Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783-9501. The
performance period is twenty-eight (28) calendar days beginning on or
about 14 August 2000. The place of performance is the vessel's
homepier. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East
Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. Drawings are now
available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and
will be free of charge to contractors upon request [ten days from
solicitation issuance]. MLCA must have ten (10) days advance notice to
complete a CD-ROM set of drawings. Drawings are still available in
hardcopy; however, a $150.00 non-refundable charge of $150.00 is
required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable
to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. All businesses, large
and small, are encouraged to submit bids for subject requirements.
Plans and specifications will be issued on or about 01 May 2000. All
responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the
United States Coast Guard. "Attention: Minority, Women-owned, and

Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working
capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts
receivable for transportation related contracts. Maximum line of credit
