Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform dockside
repairs including, but not limited to, the following base items: (1)
Clean and inspect diesel fuel and oil tanks, (2) Clean, inspect, and
disinfect potable water tanks, (3) Clean and inspect sewage and grey
water collection and holding tanks, (4) Clean, inspect, and test main
motor, (5) Clean and inspect main motor cooler, (6) Clean shipboard
galley, scullery, and laundry ventilation systems, (7) Overhaul potable
water manifold valves, (8) Inspect and test weight handling equipment
(Level I), (9) Overhaul and weight test shipboard davit crane, (10)
Weight test starboard boat davit, (11) Inspect, test, and repack
liferafts and hydrostatic releases, (12) Hydroblast sewage and grey
water piping, (13) Preserve 01 deck, (14) Preserve buoy deck, (15)
Renew deck covering system, (16) Provide temporary messing, (17)
Provide temporary berthing, (18) Inspect and test relief valves, (19)
Provide temporary logistics, (20) Provide a government furnished
property (GFP) report in accordance with solicitation section H.
Options include, but are not limited to the following items: (1) Minor
coating repairs to the potable water tanks, sewage tanks and grey
water collection and holding tanks, (2) Provide additional temporary
messing, (3) Provide additional temporary berthing, (4) Provide
additional temporary logistics, and (5) Composite labor rate. Vessel_s
homeport is Port Huron, Michigan. The vessel_s length is 180 feet, a
seagoing buoy tender. Vessel_s availability is for twenty-eight (28)
days, starting August 14, 2000. Drawings are available on CD-ROM, free
of charge to contractors. However, a non-refundable charge of $150.00
is required, in the form of a certified check or money order payable
to the U.S. Coast Guard, for printed copies of drawings. All other
referenced documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street,
Suite 600, Norfolk, Virginia. Funds are available for this procurement.
The proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and specifications will be
issued on or around April 28, 2000. All responsible sources may submit
a bid, which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard.
This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-owned,
