COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF APRIL 11,2000 PSA#2576U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Division of Contracts and Property
Management, Mail Stop T-7-I-2, Washington, D.C. 20555 L -- TECHNICAL REPRESENTATIVE SERVICES POC Contact: Yvette Brown,
Contract Specialist, 301-415-6507 The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory
Commission intends to enter into a sole source purchase order with the
National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurement (NCRP) to
develop an NCRP recommendation regarding the technical and health
implications of using the NCRP recommended DRP dose limit of 50 rads
averaged over the highest exposed 10 square centimeters, as a unified
limit for all shallow dose equivalents to the skin. The primary reason
for selecting the NCRP is for them to develop an addendum to their
recently published Report No. 130, "Biological Effects and Exposure
Limits for Hot Particles." The period of performance will be for nine
months from purchase order award. A request for quotation does not
exist. Interested respondents must submit a written capability
statement, to the address listed above, including technical information
sufficient to demonstrate their ability to meet this requirement, by
close of business May 22, 2000. Telephonic responses will not be
considered. Responses providing insufficient information for evaluation
will also not be considered. See Numbered Note 22. Posted 04/07/00
