This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. Coast Guard Air Station Traverse City requires charter air service from Traverse City, MI to Waukegan, IL. The Aircraft must be IFR certified, capable of transporting up to 8 people and 500-lbs of cargo, and certified to carry HAZMAT. The scope of work is as follows:1. Air charter services are required for air transportation of 8 passengers originating in Traverse City, MI (KTVC) to Waukegan, IL (KUGN) and return to Traverse City, MI (KTVC). A total of 18 round trips. 2. Each trip departing from Traverse City, MI (KTVC) to Waukegan, IL I (KUGN) s required 4:00 p.m. EST. The return trip from Waukegan, IL (KUGN) to Traverse City, MI (KTVC) is required approximately 5:00 PM CST on the same date. 3. First required round trip flight: Wednesday, May 24, 2000 4. All other round trip flights are required every Wednesday. 5. Final round trip flight is required on Tuesday, September 5, 2000. 6. The aircraft must be capable of carrying a minimum of 8 passengers each leg of each trip. 7. The aircraft must be Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) Certified. 8. Aircraft must be ice capable. 9. Aircraft must be in compliance with FAR Part 135 Operating Requirements: Commuter and On-Demand Operations. 10.
