This is a market survey for information only. This does not constitute
a Request for Proposals and does not obligate the Government in any
way. The Military Sealift Command requests potential sources of ship
layberths from the U.S. Gulf coast and East Coast up to and including
the greater New York Harbor area. Berth must be capable of supporting
up to two ships of about 956 feet length overall and 106 ft beam. Water
depth shall be (after dredging, if necessary) 34 ft at minimum.
Facility services required include power, potable water, sewage, steam
and telephone service. Channel should permit twenty-four hours per day
unrestricted access to open ocean. If bridges/overhead structures
preclude unrestricted access, please provide height limitations.
