The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has a requirement for a Contractor to replace two existing chillers and two existing cooling towers with a base bid that includes two new 150 ton each chillers, one new 300 ton cooling tower, one heat exchanger, two exhaust fans and ductwork, several chiller water and condensate pumps, piping work, electrical work, associated controls, and construction of additional extension to the existing building to house one of the new chillers. In addition, there will be two alternate bids and they are as follows: 1) Provide one additional new 150 ton chiller; and 2) Provide one additional new cooling tower at the Atlantic Ecology Division, 27 Tarzwell Drive, Narragansett, Rhode Island. The This project includes the demolition of the two existing chillers, two existing cooling towers and other equipment as stated in the specifications and drawings. A firm-fixed-price contract is contemplated. The anticipated contract performance period is 240 calendar days after receipt ofnotice to proceed. The estimated price range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000. The solicitation will be issued on or about 5/01/00. There will be no charge for solicitation documents.
