NASA/KSC plans to issue a IFB/ Request for Offers for Construction K6-794 Thermal Processing System Facility (TPSF) Air Handling Units Replacement/Modification. The work to be performed essentially consists of replacing 5 of the 6 chilled water air handling units and their associated ductwork and piping and providing minor rehab for AHU-8. This project will also convert the existing terminal reheat system to a more energy efficient variable air volume (VAV) system; replace the existing pneumatic control system/components with an electronic DDC central control system; and extend the hot water supply and return (HWS & HWR) piping to the ground level to support outages with portable hot water. The order of magnitude for the procurement is [between $500,000 and $1,000,000] and the effort shall be completed within [365] calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are _1542_and 17 millions, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB/RFO is on or about [April 21, 2000] with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about [May 21, 2000].
