Work consists of providing all labor, supplies, materials, supervision, transportation, equipment, and all else necessary to complete the Correct Fort Fisher Recreation Area (FFRA) Public Water System project at the Fort Fisher Recreation Area near Kure Beach, North Carolina. The work involved includes, but is not limited to the following: (1) construction of a potable water well; (2) construction of a well house complete with power, lighting, pump disconnects, and thermostatically-controlled exhaust fans and electrical heater; (3) relocation of playground equipment; (4) roadway to well house site work, grading, and erosion control for well house; (5) new well tie-in to discharge water main from Well #3; (6) power feed and controls for new well and stand-by power for new well; (7) clean up of site following construction of all work; and (8) startup of new well. All work shall be in strict compliance with the specifications and drawings. This will be a firm-fixed-price construction contract with 105 days construction performance time. The proposed contract listed here is unrestricted and open to all firms, including small and small, disadvantaged concerns. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The applicable Standard Industry Classification (SIC) code for this acquisition is 1781 with a three-year average annual receipts small business size standard of $7 million. The successful contractor will be selected using performance/price tradeoff procedures resulting in the Best Value to the Government. Performance is significantly more important than price.
