The Government intends to issue an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity, Firm-Fixed Price Type Contract with five consecutive ordering periods. The minimum quantity is 210 each, and the maximum quantity is 453 each. Applicable to the T-55 Engines. FOB Origin to Texarkana, TX. Required delivery with First Article Testing is 10 each 381 DACA with subsequent monthly quantities of 40 each until shipped complete. First Article Test Report due 348 DACA. Required delivery without First Article Testing is 10 each 360 DACA with subsequent monthly quantities of 40 each until ship complete. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. This item is a Flight Safety Part that requires Engineering Testing. Only approved sources who have successfully completed the required engineering test will be considered for award. Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, only one source or only a limited number of responsible sources. This proposed contract action is for supplies for which the government does not have specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The time required for approval of a new supplier is such that award and delivery cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source.
