Modification 001 to RFQ-28-047: This modification is to provide answers to vendor_s questions in reference to RFQ-28-047. The vendor_s questions are as follows: Question number 1: The Presto Stackers call for 36-inch outrigger legs. Do you want the legs to be 36 inches long or do you want a 36-inch inside clearance? Answer number 1: This outrigger leg requirement is also referred to as the Base Legs. The Presto Stacker Model B652-2000 standard specification for the Base Legs is a 20-inch inside diameter and a 26-inch outside diameter. The BEP requires a 32-inch inside diameter and a 36-inch outside diameter. Therefore, under Item 003, subparagraph (b) is modified to read Base Legs shall be 32-inch inside diameter and a 36-inch outside diameter. Question number 2: The Presto Stackers require an 18-inch x 30-inch outer fork spread. Do you want the forks to be adjustable in that range? The overall width on this stacker is only 27 inches. Answer number 2: The forks can be adjustable, but the outriggers must be stationary and non-adjustable. Yes, the forks shall be adjustable within the 18-inch and 27-inch fork spread. Therefore, subparagraph (d) is modified to read the fork spread shall be adjustable from an 18-inch outer spread up to a 27-inch outer fork spread. Additionally, under Item 001 for the Multiton, Model ELE 45, Electric Pallet Trucks, subparagraph (b) is modified to read, the outer fork spread shall be adjustable between 20.8 inches and 48 inches. Under Item 002 for the Crown, Model PTH 50, Hand Pallet Trucks, subparagraph (b) is modified to read, the outer fork spread shall be adjustable between 18 inches and 48 inches. Vendors are reminded to ensure that their quotes contain ALL requested information. ANY exception to the BEP_s terms and conditions or additional terms and conditions added to the requirement shall result in a rejection of the vendor_s bid.
