The Government intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price Contract for two (2) potable water electrolytic disinfectant generator (PWEDG) units, mixed oxidant type, for disinfecting shipboard potable (fresh) water system (one (1) unit for the 70,000 GPD distilling plant and one (1) unit for the 12,000 -- 48,000 GPD reverse osmosis system), technical field support services to assist in the installation and testing of the two (2) PWEDG units on board the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) as required by Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair, USN, Newport News, VA. The service will include labor and travel expenses for eleven (11) man trips of four (4) days each. Contractor shall provide a list of on board repair spare parts for the PWEDG units. This acquisition will be in accordance with Far 13.5 Test Program, conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. The Standard Industrial Code is 3589 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Request for Quotes shall be solicited on the basis of full and open competition. FSC code is 4610. Quotes received shall specify FOB destination by the contractor. Quotes other than FOB destination shall be ineligible for award.
