Washington has a requirement for a Car Bottom Furnace. This requirement
is 100% Small Business Set-Aside under SIC 3567.Proof of registration
in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) is mandatory. This requirement
is for a 2200 degree F, vertical, car bottom heat-treating furnace with
a 48"H X 48"W X 96"L chamber. The furnace shall be used for heat
treating small to medium size work pieces and forged billets. This will
be a Firm Fixed Price Contract. This is a commercial item and will be
awarded in accordance with FAR 13.5- "Test Program for Certain
Commercial Items". The equipment shall be new and unused, capable of
performing its intended function in accordance with the operation and
performance requirements specified herein. The equipment shall be
complete, so that when connected to the utilities identified herein, it
can be used for any function for which it is designed and constructed.
The equipment shall be one of the manufacturer's current production
models which, on the date the solicitation is issued, has been
designed, engineered and sold, or is being offered for sale through
advertisements or manufacturer's published catalogs or brochures.
Products such as prototype unit, preproduction model, or experimental
unit do not qualify as meeting this requirement. Installation, which
shall include all excavation, foundations, material, fluids, and labor
required to install and make operable the equipment and systems
described herein shall be the responsiblity of the contractor as shall
training and specialized training. Delivery will be Portsmouth, VA,
delivery time shall be 180 days after contract award. The exact due
date will be noted on the solicitation. To be considered, interested

their capability of meeting the requirement, as well as terms and
conditions and a complete price quote by deadline cited in the
