Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) is soliciting for Shipping and Storage Drums, open head, for liquids or solids, 55-gallon with bolt ring, 5/8-inch bolt & gasket, lid with -inch bung, steel construction, color black, manufactured to meet the testing and marking requirements of 49 CFR Subtitle B, Chapter 1, Part 178 Subpart L (Non-Bulk Performance-oriented Packaging Standards). Packing group "Y" is minimum, "X" is also acceptable. Gauge of steel to be at least 16/18/18. Drums are to be palletized and covered with a fiberboard cap to preclude standing water on drum heads. Pallets may be either 40-inch x 48-inch or 48-inch x 48-inch and must allow 4-way entry. Drums are to be secured to pallets to prevent movement and/or damage during shipping. Delivery destination is Bremerton WA. Inspect/Accept and FOB at Destination. Base Year period of performance is anticipated to be 23 Sep 00 through 22 Sep 01, with two one-year option periods. Estimated quantity per year is 8,000 drums. A firm fixed price indefinite delivery requirements type contract is anticipated.
