Warfare Center Division, Newport has a requirement for a steel mold
insert and 2000 cell manifold plates. The contractor is required to
design and fabricate the mold and provide all necessary materials and
tooling. The mold material is to be AISI P20 grade tool steel or
equivalent. Manifold plates are to be fabricated by Injection molding
process. Injection material is to be General Electric's ULTEM 1010.
Manifold plates must meet dimensions specified in NUWC Drawing,
Manifold Plate No. NUWC820010D01. Contractor must fabricate 5 sample
manifold plates for inspection and comparison to specification. All 5
samples must pass inspection prior to acceptance of lot. Once the
samples pass inspection, contractor shall fabricate the balance of the
2000 flow manifold plates. Estimated delivery time is 6 weeks after
contract award for the samples with all remaining pieces to be
delivered within 8 weeks of contract award. The mold insert is to
become the property of NUWCDIVNPT. Manifold plates shall be delivered
F.O.B. Destination, Newport, RI and ready to use. They must be free of
flashing and burrs. They must also be free of oil, grease, voids, and
trapped gas bubbles. The Government intends to award a single contract
on a Firm Fixed Price basis using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. A
request for quote will be released on or about 28 April 00.

dimensional IGES mold file of the part geometry should either email

shall be considered by the Government. Award is expected on or about 22
May 00. This acquisition is 100% Set Aside for Small Business. Our
