Requirements. Provide labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and
supervision necessary for the installation of hurricane ties to
intersection of rafters and top plate of dwelling and to the front
entry support posts (header and concrete slab). Contractor shall be
responsible for proper installation and fit of the fasteners that will
penetrate through the freeze boards, drop siding, and into the top
plates of the stud walls, and use of the proper fasteners and anchors
for the front entry support posts. Use metal paint primer, plastic
coating (Plasti-Dip or equal for connectors and fasteners), and two
coats of finish and touch up paint to disturbed areas to match
existing. Work shall be performed in accordance with normal industry
standards and practices and as noted herein. 2. Product. a. Hurricane
ties shall be 14 gauge heavy duty galvanized steel or better. b.
Manufacturer's standard accessories such as fasteners, bolts, concrete
anchors, and metal paint primer, plastic coating (forconnectors and
