The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award a sole source contract for the coordination and scheduling of inmate transportation to include but not be limited to the airlift operations and bus/van runs. This contractor will be responsible for assisting the Prisoner Transportation Section of the Correctional Services Branch, Correctional Programs Division of the Federal Bureau of Prisons in coordinating/scheduling operation of approximately 60 buses, and the BOP/USMS airlift that consists of two 727's that are scheduled to fly weekly. The contractor will also be responsible for reviewing manpower and operations reports from the institutions to assure compliance with existing procedcures and polices. The contractor will be responsible for developing policy, providing expert advise in the area of correctional specialty, and to provide guidance, direction, supervision, advise and/or evaluation for a program or programs in correctional facilities.
