The NRC intends to issue a Commercial Item, Firm Fixed Price, Delivery Order Contract for a training course entitled "Irradiator Technology Course" The contractor shall furnish the necessary qualified personnel, materials, and services to conduct a five day, forty hour training course through a combination of lectures, discussions, demonstrations of equipment, and exercises providing hands-on experience in the various aspects of irradiator operations. The contractor shall be required to have a facility capable of hands-on training of equipment, operation and maintenance of a pool-type irradiator facility. The course will be presented a maximum of five times over a 3 year period. The SIC code is 8299 with a business size standard of $3.5M. Proposals for this requirement may be submitted by all concerns, i.e., large businesses, small businesses, and small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.
