E-MAIL: woodardt@anad.army.mil, woodardt@anad.army.mil. Furnish and install one (1) Chemical Cleaning Line at Anniston Army Depot, Anniston, AL. The contractor is to perform all work in strict accordance with the specifications, schedules, and drawings. There shall be one heated (215 +/- 15 degrees F) vat of Alkaline Corrosion Remover (Mil-C-14460) made of mild steel, one heated (140 +/- 15 degrees F) vat of Phosphoric Acid based Corrosion remover (Mil-C-10578D) made of 304 or 316 stainless steel, four heated (140 +/- 15 degrees F) vats for Paint Stripping (NPX) made of 304 or 316 stainless steel, one vat of Hydrochloric acid made of mild steel with a " rubber liner, and one vat of Plastisol (Rubber) Remover made of 304 or 316 stainless steel. There shall also be a heated (180 +/- 15degrees F) rinse vat for each process vat made from the same material as the chemical vat which it rinses. Each vat shall be as a minimum 5' wide, 10' long, and 5' deep and be arranged so it utilize the existing bridge crane system (see drawing of existing bridge crane system). Water lines shall be run to all rinse vats and the vats should have an automatic water level control. The vats shall be constructed in such a manner to allow concentration of chemical for ease of solution removal. Design drawings of the water lines must be submitted for approval before any work can begin. The Area that the vats must be place is 121' by 28'. This is an unrestricted procurement. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c), therefore hardcopies will not be provided.
