488-2619 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items
prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition
Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation and all quotes are being requested at this time. A
written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as
Request for Quotation (RFQ) on a requirement under RFQ 2000-Q-00076.
The solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in
effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-16. This
solicitation is an UNRESTRICTED procurement under Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) Code of 3822 (Laboratory Apparatus and Analytical,
Optical, Measuring and Controlling Instruments), with a size standard
of 500 employees. The contractor shall provide unit price for the
following, showing a delivery schedule for each item. The Government
will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the
responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be
most advantageous to the Government, based on price and the listed
factors in this order of BEST VALUE, BEST PRICE AND A TIMELY DELIVERY
SCHEDULE(Optimum Proposed Delivery Schedule). Contractor must be able
to provide all items listed and provide quotes for all items requested.
The following items are requested on this RFQ: This is to be FOB:
Destination (price shall include shipping cost). Contractor must quote
on all items shown on drawings, specifying the delivery times and
provide all required parts in a timely manner as shown in the plans and
specifications furnished at the time of your request. Only written
request for the drawings will be acknowledged. Contractor must have
drawings to make the quote. All specifications must be met to be
eligible for award. Contractor must fabricate a quantity of 1000 RTD
Probe/Transmitter Gizmo Assemblies per drawing SK-E07A dated 4/1/00.
Average sensors will not be acceptable, this requiremnt must includea
100 degree temperature sensor. Contractor shall submit a complete bill
of material 7 days after receipt of award. Contractor shall deliver a
sample first article 7 days after a receipt of order and if there is
any deviation from the make and model, a number of components must be
specified. Contractor shall deliver a quantity of 500 assemblies 12
weeks after receipt of the order. Each assembly shall come individually
wrapped in bubble pack to prevent damage during shipping, individually
coiled and tie-wrapped. No more than 50 assemblies shall be packaged
together in a single box for ease of handling during shipping and
storage. The assembly shall be warranted against defects for one year,
plus any other standard warranties noted. There will be no

Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items (NOV
1999) and the following clauses incorporated by addendum apply -- At
paragraph (c), "Period of Acceptance of Offers," has been determined by
the Contracting Officer to be non-applicable to this solicitation and
is hereby removed in its entirety for the purpose of this requirement.;
At paragraph(e), "Multiple Offers," has been determined by the
Contracting Officer to be non-applicable to this solicitation and is
hereby removed in its entirety for the purposes of this requirement;

System (DUNS) Number (JUN 1999)to include Tax Identification
Number;(ix) FAR Provision 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items (JAN
1999) FAR Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and
Certifications -- Commercial Items (OCT 1999) is incorporated and is
required to be submitted with the contractor's quote. The best way to
complete this certification is to download the FAR Clauses at

Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, must be
sent with your quote and is mandatory for any Government award. FAR
