The U.S. Geological Survey, EROS Data Center, Sioux Falls, SD, has a requirement for Reversal Paper, 50-inch x 164-feet, emulsion in surface. The following salient characteristics are considered essential to the requirements of this procurement. a) The rawstock size shall be 50-inch x 164-feet. b) Reversal color photographic material capable of producing positive photographic prints from positive color transparencies. c) The rawstock shall be compatible with Kodak, Fuji Hunt, and Russell type R-3 color processess. d) Reversal color print material shall be coated on a resin-coated, water resistance paper base. e) The emulsion shall be wound emulsion out, non-perforated, with no leader or trailer on a core with a 3-inch inside diameter. f) The material shall be a glossy surface. g) The paper shall have a gamma of approximately 1.40. h) The paper shall have a D-max minimum of 2.4 density units. i) D-min shall be less than 0.13 and have a color balance of less than 0.02 density units when color balanced ata mid tone density of 0.80. The government reserves the right to test any proposed rawstock. Should the government determine it necessary, the contractor shall be required to submit unexposed material and representative technical specifications to the EROS Data Center for inspection and testing.
