Work consists of evaluating the existing reinforced concrete spillway
(poured in place)in the floodwater retarding dam #8 located in the
Upper Hocking Watershed, Greenfield Township, south Half of Section 31,
Fairfield County, Ohio. A comprehensive report is required, including
but not limited to the following items -- condition, photographs,
sketches, maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, service life prediction,
and cost estimates. The report must address the service life of 50
years from the year 2000. Inspectors must be trained structural
engineers and technicians whose understanding of the mechanics of
structures enables then to distinguish cosmetic problems from
