REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTERESTMaterials Management and =
Maintenance System (MMMS) The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit =
Authority (WMATA) is seeking to identify firms interested in serving as
= an independent broker/project manager to identify and implement a =
turnkey integrated Materials Management and Maintenance System (MMMS )
= that will replace systems currently in use. WMATA desires that the
= replacement software alternative be a modular commercial off the
shelf = (COTS) product based on a contractor performed business process
review = that will provide the Authority with the ability to plan,
control, = track and account for its asset management activities and
resources = using the latest, proven, user-friendly, state of art
technology. The = contractor will also be responsible for integration
of proposed modules = with each other and with legacy systems. This
system is intended to be = used at maintenance, warehousing and
administrative facilities = throughout the Metropolitan DC area. This
is not a formal = solicitation. Program Objective The Authority desires
a technologically = advanced, reliable, on-line, real-time maintenance
and inventory = information and data management system. Barcode, pen
light, touch = screen, voice recognition, swipe card and RF technology
should be = considered. Submission Date and Contact Interested firms
should submit = an original, 15 copies, and a disc formatted in Corel
Word Perfect, of = their expression of interest which outlines their
experience in = performing this work, no later than 2:00 PM on May 10,
