DESC: This announcement constitutes the only request for quotation.
Quotes are requested and a written quotation will not be issued. This
acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses and the applicable
Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 1795. PROVIDE ALL LABOR, PLANT,
MATERIAL, EQUIPMENT AND SUPERVISION TO PERFORM FOLLOWING OPERATIONS:
(1) Demolish complete the Administration Offices inside Hangar 5 of
Building 708 located on Pope Air Force Base (AFB), NC. Comply with
Statement of Work for Project Number TMKH 99-1028. (2) Disassemble and
haul off of base at the contractor's expense all concrete, metal,
glass, wood and any other materials within the Hangar 5 space of
Building 708. (3) The contractor shall disconnect, remove and cap the
administration office utilities as necessary to make the hangar space
acceptable to receive aircraft. The contractor shall pressure wash all
the existing rafters, walls, columns, floors and hangar doors as
necessary to ensure that all bird droppings, dust and debris are
removed within Hangar 5 to make the hangar space acceptable to receive
aircraft. (4) As a result of the demolition work, the contractor shall
repair/demo the existing concrete floor of the hangar as necessary to
make it flush with the surrounding concrete floor. (5) The Fort Bragg
landfill may be used after filling out all appropriate paperwork and
obtaining a permit from the Fort Bragg Environmental Office, Fort
Bragg, NC, Phone No. 910-396-3372. (6) The as-built drawings for the
Administration Offices inside Hangar 5 are attached to the Statement of
Work for reference. The Administration Offices to be demolished is
included in, but is not limited to, these as-built drawings. (7)
Contractor shall coordinate with the contracting officer or his
designated representative to ensure that all utility lines are marked
before any digging and/or demolition is accomplished. There may be
utility lines within the construction site that shall not be disturbed.
The contractor shall coordinate with the contracting officer or his
designated representative to ensure that any utility lines in use are
not damaged or disturbed during any portion of this contract. (8)
Explosives shall not be used on Pope AFB as part of this project. (9)
According to Pope AFB Environmental Office test results, the
Administration Offices to be demolished do not contain asbestos
containing materials. (10) Site visit has been scheduled for 17 Apr 00
at 1300 hours, 43D Contracting Squadron, 1443 Reilly Road, Pope AFB,
NC. (11) A copy of the Statement of Work and the layout map can be
requested by faxing your written request to ATTN: Marie Becton at

(13) Request for Quotation under Simplified Acquisition Procedures
(SAP). (14) All responsible parties may submit an offer which, if
received in a timely manner, will be considered by this agency. All
proposals are due in to this office by close of business 21 Apr 2000.
